Voip Review
Overall, VoIP is a good way to reduce the monthly phone bill, especially for business customers making a large number of long-distance or international calls. Private customers profit as well, yet requirements may be different and for most private customers, it makes sense to simply install a software that they can use to call other users of the same software for free. The complete transition to VoIP at home is only rarely advisable, a lot of private customers make most of their calls to local partners only.
For companies, however, the transition to VoIP makes a lot of sense, not only when looking at the monthly costs. A number of services can be implemented that are complicated or not possible at all with traditional phone networks. Most importantly, the person using VoIP does not have to be in the company yet the caller ID shows that he or she calls from the company phone. Therefore, it is easily possible to set up home offices for employees while they can use the company phone network, a fast Internet connection is all that is needed.
Other services such as file exchange or video conversations can also be integrated. By combining the VoIP network to the existing communications infrastructure, it is easy to manage things like address books and to pass on information to other people within or outside the same company. Last, but not least, it is fairly easy to create secure telephone connections using special encryption systems.
